Independence Day: White Cactus Margarita

Looking for a last minute addition to your party cocktail options? This is a great alternative to many people’s favorite summer cocktail, the traditional margarita. This recipe is delicious and sugar free. If you have a sweet tooth, feel free to add one teaspoon of simple syrup for a boost.

MargaritaWhat you’ll need:

  • 1 can of Zevia Ginger Ale
  • 2 shots Tequila
  • 2 Tablespoons lime juice
  • liquid stevia to taste

What you’ll need to do:

  1. Mix ingredients together in a glass. For an extra flavor, salt the rim of your glass before pouring!

Independence Day: Watermelon Blueberry Salsa

This salsa recipe is guaranteed to impress guest your guests! It is the perfect blend of traditional salsas and fresh summer fruit. Give it a try at your 4th of July BBQ!

Makes 2 1/2 cups
What you’ll need:

  • 4 small Roma tomatoes, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 small onion, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno, chopped (discard seeds for a milder salsa)
  • 1 cup diced watermelon
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice (from 1 lime)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

What you’ll need to do:

  1. Combine tomatoes, onion, and jalapeno in the bowl of a food processor; pulse briefly or until finely chopped (do not fully liquefy). If you don’t have a food processor, you can finely chop the ingredients by hand.
  2. Transfer tomato mixture to a medium bowl; stir in watermelon, blueberries, cilantro, lime juice, and salt.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.

S’mores are a classic American campfire favorite, but they can be super messy! These super simple s’mores on a stick are the perfect remedy!

What you’ll need:

  • 1 pkg. (4 oz.) semi-sweet baking chocolate
  • 12 jumbo marshmallowss
  • 3 packs of graham crackers, crushed

What you’ll need to do:

  • Melt  chocolate in small microwaveable bowl as directed on package.
  • Dip  top halves of marshmallows into melted chocolate; coat with graham crumbs.
  • Insert  lollipop stick into coated side of each marshmallow; place on waxed paper-lined tray.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve. Toast tops before serving, if desired.
